At the June 2022 Blue Lake Improvement District meeting, Isanti County Soil and Water presented the plan for the Alum Treatment -they got the grant!

At the May 2021, Blue Lake Improvement District and Isanti County proposed our next project. The Blue Lake Alum project. Details can be found in the May 2021 Minutes. A grant has been applied for by ICWS and we should know more by the end of 2021. More details can be found in the August 2021 Annual Meeting minutes.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In 2018, Blue Lake Improvement District contracted with invasive weed treatment specialists, watercraft inspectors for aquatic invasive species, and water quality monitoring and project management. Each contract was approved by the MN DNR. Blue Lake Improvement District was awarded a $251K Clean Water Grant for a Priority Action Plan for 3 years (2018-2020).
